CUTE!! xfleshpotx stole my points re: the stuff going on here between monstrosity and gender, but ill reiterate some of them anyway. starts off as a traditional vore story, before growing into a much more optimistic vore story about embracing yourself and finding fellow freaks (further strengthened by how unabashedly horny it is). (a metaphor for the VN jam itself, even????)
reformation becomes an even more literal kind of metamorphosis in context; going in, i thought this would be playing with vore tropes by spending time giving emotional reality to "a person is willing to kill themself in order to be food", but it actually plays with reformation to lean more into the heavily trans-coded style of euphoric TF that's been popping up lately. but with a little more of "the old self must be burnt down to begin again". some of you is in this new form, but there's some left behind, too. sometimes you end up giving yourself to someone not because you trust them but because they're there and willing to take it, but you end up picking the right person anyway, and they help you find yourself. like i said: cute!!
the third chapter was an especially strong story beat, and acted as a good fulcrum point to both subvert the typical "the fatal vore ends after the prey dies" format, and got me good and sad to get me in the right place for the happier ending. i wish them well :). -lav

I love how monstrosity is used as a way to explore gender and sexuality in this game. Luna undergoes a horrifying transformation in which she fulfils her unspoken shameful fantasies at the cost of her old life, body and past relationships. Having been transformed, she no longer exists in view of mainstream society but the life she thought had ended has in fact only just started. The use of slime as a symbol of transfemininity, its transformative power and beauty alongside its stigma, is really interesting. But despite how sad Luna's memories are it doesn't feel like tonal whiplash against how unabashedly horny and kinky this is. I really love how indulgent the kink content is, she doesn't just get turned into a slime via snuff vore, the slime has a big jiggly belly and becomes her Mom. Being able to balance a tone of everyday devastating transphobia alongside self indulgent fetish porn in a way that's poignant and sweet is a real skill!
In general the writing is really strong. Luna's internal monologue has a very clear voice that builds up her character really well, specifically with how her trauma and dissociation affect the way she thinks and talks about her life and herself. Getting to read her descriptions of digestion and the swaddling weightlessness of her pleasure is really great, because by that point you just want this girl to be as happy as she can be, even if its bittwersweet.
This was a fantastic introduction to these characters and I love the take on fantasy tropes and slime girls. Really hoping it gets continued!
The backgrounds, character art, and music all pulled me in (pun intended) and the confrontation scene sent horny little tingles up my spine. Really liked how the story wrapped up too.

that was a really cute little game, i'm glad you made it and that i got to read your debut vn!!! the intro was written really well, very atmospheric, and i loved the interactions between the leads. there's always a certain sadness and catharsis to tf stories, particularly ones that are also monster stories and trans stories... it's all connected... you captured it really well i think.
